Someone from the 50 event participants sent a video of Vitaly Savelev's performance to the police chatbot and wrote that he was joking about political topics.

Vitebsk presenter Vitaly Savelev told about the outrageous incident on TikTok.

According to the man, at the end of every wedding season, presenters hold a "Session" — an event where those working in the industry gather to celebrate the end of the wedding marathon.

"Traditionally at such an event, we do a 'roast' — it's a format of harsh jokes about each other. All the time we all laugh, joke around, sometimes even quite rudely. But it was always, and is, perceived with humor. Or rather, it was perceived until yesterday," Vitaly says.

The man made harsh jokes about a colleague who was not at the event.

Two hours after the performance, law enforcement officers arrived for Vitaly and asked him to give an explanation regarding those jokes.

Vitaly admits that until the very last moment, he was convinced that the police arrival was a prank from colleagues. But it turned out that it was serious: the police showed him an anonymous message they received in their Telegram bot. Someone sent a recording of Savelev's performance and wrote that he had made offensive statements of a political nature at the event.

This statement greatly surprised Vitaly. He claims that he didn't say a word about politics.

"There were more than 50 people in the hall who, when they found out about this whole story, that a police patrol came and we wrote a report, explanations, were in shock. The situation is so surreal that I really didn't want to believe it."

The presenter says he might have laughed at the story if it weren't for the accusation of some political jokes.

He called the person he joked about — that person claims he didn't write to the Ministry of Internal Affairs chatbot. Vitaly is inclined to believe that he is indeed not involved.

"What's the point of the story? The point is, my friends, sometimes you don't even know that the one who smiles at your face is already writing a complaint about you on their phone in their pocket."

Vitaly admits he is very disappointed, but he has no desire to find out who reported him. He considers his jokes harmless and far from political topics, as they joked exclusively about colleagues-friends and work.
