Farmer and blogger Aliaksandr Dzyameshka from the village of Malyya Sukharevichi near Brest grew a pumpkin weighing 240 kilograms.
Moreover, the pumpkin is still growing — it could gain another 30 kilograms by the frosts.
The farmer (by profession, a mechanical engineer) told STB how he grew such a giant. He says it needs to be cared for like a small child. Among fertilizers, Aliaksandr applied potassium, calcium, and phosphorus. And on very sunny days, he covered the pumpkin so that the skin wouldn't harden and growth wouldn't stop.

The farmer has been growing huge pumpkins for several seasons and takes them to fairs as an exhibit. Afterwards, he uses the pumpkin for preserves.
