The accommodation booking service Airbnb has changed its rules. Now, hosts cannot require tourists to clean up after themselves, take out trash, strip beds, or wash dishes. They can only ask guests to place dishes in the sink, gather towels, and sort trash into internal apartment bins.
Also new is that hosts will be able to limit the number of guests overnight.
As before, the service can specify quiet hours, pet allowances, smoking bans, and other rules.
The rules will now be more visible in the listing and in booking reminders.
