Such marking has not been seen before. It warns about possible black ice.

In the Brest region, a road marking is being tested that changes color when the temperature drops. When the temperature falls below +4 degrees Celsius, a white snowflake on the asphalt turns pink, BELTA reports.
The experimental marking was applied on the P16 highway near the village of Tyukhinichi, before an ascent to a bridge. The inner part of the snowflake was painted with a special temperature-reactive paint.

The pink color warns drivers that black ice may form on the bridge: concrete freezes faster, so the danger arises earlier. This is a signal to slow down and be more attentive.
According to experts, similar experiments have not been conducted in the country. The production of the unique paint is carried out by a resident of the free economic zone "Brest".
If the tests are successful, such paint can be used near other bridges and overpasses.
