In Zaporizhzhia region, Russians struck a school where humanitarian aid was being distributed. At least 24 people died
Russian troops launched airstrikes on the village of Kamyshevakha in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region. Initially, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that 18 people had died and five were injured. But the number of victims continues to rise.

According to Zelenskyy, bombs hit a school building that was used for humanitarian purposes. Local residents regularly received humanitarian aid there.
Zelenskyy stated that after the first airstrike, nine more bombs were dropped — directly on the shelter where people were located.

The Ukrainian president noted that the Russian military could not have been unaware that the residents of Kamyshevakha who remained in the village received humanitarian aid weekly at this very location. In his opinion, the attack indicates Russia's lack of intent for de-escalation and genuine settlement.
Zelenskyy also recalled the recent humanitarian operation in Oleshky and stated that after it, there was a chance for further steps towards peace. However, according to him, the killing of civilians sends a completely opposite signal.

Local authorities reported that after the strike, 27 more people are considered missing.
Subsequently, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine announced that among the dead there are already **24 people**, including two rescuers and four police officers. The clearing of debris continues.
