On October 29, a rock collapsed in Turkish Cappadocia near the entrance to the Göreme Open-Air Museum. As a result, two people died, and one injured person was hospitalized. This was reported by CNN Türk, citing local authorities.

The cause of the collapse was heavy rainfall: large stones broke off from the rock and fell onto the area where people were located. The bodies of two deceased individuals were found under the debris.
Due to rain and strong winds in Cappadocia, hot air balloon flights scheduled for October 29 and 30 were also canceled.
Göreme National Park in the historical region of Cappadocia is one of the world's most popular places for hot air balloon excursions. The region is known for its cave settlements, underground cities, and monasteries carved into the rocks.
