Dziadok: "No political goal is worth human lives"? You have zero understanding of politics and zero understanding of life
Former political prisoner Mikoła Dziadok spoke out about the price of the struggle for freedom, commenting on an open letter from former political prisoners to European leaders. They called on Europe to negotiate more actively for the release of people and the cessation of repression.

"No political goal is worth people's lives and health."
Whoever is promoting this thesis now, I can say: these people have ZERO understanding of politics and zero understanding of life.
Tell the defenders of Ukraine that Ukraine is not worth their lives and health.
Tell our political prisoners, who consciously went to prison, that the liberation of Belarus is not worth health and life.
In any struggle/war/confrontation, the one who is willing to sacrifice more wins.
Since the time of Kastuś Kalinoŭski, if not earlier, Belarusians consciously risked their health and lives so that we would have at least the independence we have now. So that the word "Belarusian" would mean a Belarusian, and not a Western Russian. Who gave you the right to devalue this sacrifice with such statements?
Reasoning in the spirit of "no political goal is worth...", you will never achieve anything.
Because the stronger side will twist you around their finger with just the threat to your health and life.
How do you imagine getting something great without sacrificing anything? Throughout all times, all rights were obtained through struggle, not through weeping and complaints.
And I'm not talking about the scandalous letter now, nor about political prisoners, but about the approach itself: "We want a free Belarus, but we are not ready to suffer and sacrifice for it." Inexplicably to me, this thesis made its way into the public space and gained the right to exist.
Not only is it logically absurd (you even have to pay for coffee in a cafe — how do you plan not to pay for the freedom of a nation?), but it also creates false expectations in people, thereby preparing the ground for a new collapse and disappointment.
Therefore, all who want to achieve something — be ready to sacrifice. And if you cannot — at least do not hinder those who can and want to.
