Mother decided to improve the health of her five-year-old son — as a result, he was taken by ambulance
The boy was hospitalized after a diet and 19 BADs (Biologically Active Additives) given by his mother.

A woman consulted a nutritionist after her five-year-old son contracted a rotavirus. The consultant advised restricting the child's usual diet and taking 19 types of biologically active additives. A month later, the boy's condition worsened, ONT reports.
According to the mother, the nutritionist consulted her remotely and urged her to trust doctors less.
“You urgently need to take BADs, restore all deficiencies. You’ve brought the child to this state. Don't you understand? It’s urgent. Buy them right now, I'll send them to you on Telegram. 19 items,” the woman recounted the nutritionist's words.
For a month, the mother followed these recommendations. Gluten-containing products, dairy products, and sweets were removed from the child's diet. When the boy's condition sharply worsened, an ambulance had to be called. He was taken to the Minsk City Children's Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital.
“He was very weak, he couldn't even squeeze my hand firmly. He didn't have any infection. It was clear that the child simply hadn't received the necessary nutrients. He had a very poor diet and many restrictions,” said infectious disease doctor Alina Savenka.
According to the mother, even after hospitalization, the nutritionist tried to convince the woman to refuse the treatment prescribed by doctors and continue the diet with BADs.
Medical education is not required to work as a nutritionist in Belarus. Such consultants can help adjust the diet, but they do not have the right to diagnose diseases or prescribe treatment.
