Cucumbers for 20 rubles, porcini mushrooms — for 100. Is it worth going to Komarovka in October?

The selection at Minsk's main market in October is still pleasing. However, some products are already getting more expensive.

Tochka.by journalists visited Komarovka ahead of the weekend.

Cheap potatoes can only be found at a few sellers — from 0.79 rubles per kilogram. Others charge 2-4 rubles, which seems expensive for the season.

Cabbage sells for 0.8-3 rubles per 1 kg, carrots — for 1-5 rubles, beets — for 2.5-4.5 rubles, onions — for 2.5-20 rubles.

There is still cheap sweet corn — from 2.5 rubles per kilogram.

Peppers are sold from 3 rubles per 1 kg. The most affordable tomatoes cost only 1 ruble per kilogram.

On average, tomatoes are sold for 2.5-7 rubles, but there are also more expensive ones — for 12-25 rubles.

Cucumbers are also interesting. There are fewer and fewer of them; the cheapest cost 1.5 rubles, while on average they are sold for 4-6 rubles. However, some sellers have "radnichok" (a variety of cucumber) at an incredible price — 20 rubles per kilogram.

Many pumpkins, their price is 3-6 rubles per 1 kg. Sellers can offer both whole pumpkins and cut pieces.

And the most advertised product right now is Belarusian sweet potato.

It is sold for 12-18 rubles per 1 kg.

Garlic, as usual, will cost 10-20 rubles per kilogram.

Not many mushrooms. Chanterelles cost 12-13.9 rubles, champignons — 8-12 rubles. Honey mushrooms are offered for 20 rubles.

Porcini mushrooms are not getting cheaper — on average, they ask 100 rubles per kilogram. A small package will cost approximately 50 rubles. And there is demand.

There's plenty of fruit at the market. It's now profitable to buy apples: there are even some for 1 ruble per kilogram, and on average the price reaches 4 rubles. Pears, however, are more expensive — 4.9-10 rubles per 1 kg.

They started importing more and more persimmons. Now they cost 4-15 rubles per 1 kg.

Watermelons are sold for 2.5 rubles per kilogram. By the way, in chain stores they will be cheaper — some are even 0.99 rubles. Melons at Komarovka are sold for 2.5-5 rubles per 1 kg.

It's profitable to buy bananas — they cost 2.9-5 rubles per kilogram. The same with grapes — 3.9-25 rubles. Oranges cost 5.9-15.9 rubles.

Not many berries left. Belarusian strawberries cost 16.9-25 rubles per kilogram, which seems quite profitable for mid-autumn. Especially when in stores they already cost 50 rubles or more.

Cranberries are sold for 9-11 rubles per 1 kg. You can also find Belarusian blueberries for 29.9 rubles. Note that in some stores imported berries already cost 100-150 rubles.
