Trump pulls a huge armada to Iran and threatens new strikes

"We destroyed their nuclear program. We still need to deal with, I would say, one or two facilities, but we can do that in ten minutes," he stated.

US President Donald Trump is deploying an armada to the Middle East that could strike Iran within days, Bild writes.

As a possible target, Trump named the Iranian mountain Kalang, better known as "Pickaxe Mountain." It is believed that a nuclear complex is located beneath it. "It would probably be worth paying attention to Pickaxe Mountain, and that needs to be dealt with," Trump said.

The mountain is located in Isfahan province, approximately 200 kilometers south of Tehran, near the nuclear facility in Natanz. The Iranian government denies that work related to its nuclear program is being carried out there. According to Trump, the US is not in a hurry because negotiations to end the war are going "well" — however, the Iranians are "not very reliable." Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the president has not yet made a decision on new strikes, and the US is open to a diplomatic settlement.

At the same time, the US is putting its forces on high alert. Trump is concentrating a huge fleet in the Arabian Sea: three aircraft carriers, 17 warships, and over 20,000 servicemen. Troops are ready to strike within 96 hours of a presidential order.

Tehran, in turn, gave a sharp response to these threats. On October 31, Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei addressed the senior military command with an unequivocal statement: "Any threat must be followed by an immediate, effective, and geographically unbounded response." Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminya also made a statement on state television: "A possible future war could last longer than the previous conflict." Furthermore, according to him, Trump "is not in a position to dictate the timing or conditions of its conclusion."
