Colorado beetle found in a jar of canned green peas in a Grodno store
In the "Euroopt" store in Grodno, at Yanka Kupala Avenue, 82a, a Colorado beetle was found in a jar of canned green peas of Russian production, brand "Yunona". Photos of the unusual find appeared on social networks. The 720-gram jar cost 5.99 rubles, writes Hrodna.life.

Representatives of the retail chain reacted to the publication and reported that they checked the batch of canned goods in this store. According to them, the incident was an isolated quality violation. The jar with the insect was disposed of, and the vigilant customer was thanked for their attentiveness.
However, some users were skeptical of this explanation. One commenter noted that the chain could not confidently claim an isolated incident if it had not checked all jars from the batch. In her opinion, the entire batch should have been returned to the supplier or disposed of.
The find caused many jokes on social networks. Users played on the name of the canned goods "Yunona", joked that the beetle was a food lover, and even called it an "American spy".
Other users also joked about the unusual "completeness" of the canned goods, calling the beetle an addition to the side dish or proof of the product's naturalness. Some recalled that they themselves had found ladybugs and caterpillars in canned peas.
There were also more serious remarks. One commenter criticized quality control at the production site, noting that the insect should have been found and removed during the automatic packaging of products.
