The French gendarmerie found six engravings by the famous artist Pablo Picasso, which were stolen in early October from a restaurant in the village of Mougins in the south of France. The value of the artworks is estimated at over 100 thousand euros. Seven people have been arrested in connection with the theft, all of whom are in custody.

The artworks disappeared on the night of October 2-3. According to radio station Ici, two masked and gloved perpetrators broke into the restaurant located in the village center, while a third waited for them outside in a car.
The search for the stolen engravings lasted for about a month. They were found on November 3 in the Alpes-Maritimes department. The French gendarmerie reported the discovery.
This is not the first major art theft in France recently. On September 8, from the Pierre-Auguste Renoir museum in the southeast of the country, four paintings with a total value of about 9 million euros were stolen. Two unknown individuals broke into the museum at dawn and cut the canvases from their frames. During their escape, they dropped one of the four paintings. The names of the authors of the stolen works were not reported at the time. Later, two of the stolen paintings were found.
