Melania Trump is now closer to the Nobel Peace Prize than her husband — The Telegraph
The First Lady of the United States played an important role in reaching an agreement on a humanitarian operation in the Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Oleshky in Kherson Oblast.

This potentially opens her path to receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, which her husband Donald Trump so dreams of. Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, a military commentator, writes about this for The Telegraph.
He recalls that Melania directly cooperated with Russian and Ukrainian officials to make the humanitarian mission possible. However, this agreement was a continuation of her previous efforts to return Ukrainian children whom Russia separated from their families during the war.
“While the president and his Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, favored belligerent rhetoric and military displays of force, the First Lady was quietly engaged in something else: humanitarian diplomacy that brought Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table,” de Bretton-Gordon notes.
“If Melania is considered for the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo next year, it will be an irony that, I suspect, many will enjoy. Her husband has made no secret of his desire for this award. But perhaps the greatest prize she could bring home would be something far more valuable: a lesson for the president that peace is about humanity, not personal glory,” the commentator emphasizes.
